all gone

Last week Lucy's teeth were bothering her. That was a perfect excuse for us to go and get ice cream. By the time we got home she had eaten the WHOLE thing. Paper wrapper included.

treasure hunt

If you can't find something at my house...
...you might try checking under the couch.

naked

My roses have black spot. I have been referring to it as "rose herpies". All of the leaves have fallen off. Trav might be right. This just might be the fanciest tomato garden in town next year.

countdown

This very well might have been the last time that I saw Tara with her belly. But Todd, well, that's another story.

marketing 101

"Audrey what do you want to drink?"

"I want a toy"

"we aren't getting happy meals, we are only here to get drinks"

"that's what I call a SAD meal"

art project

"MENZIES"

I can't take credit for coming up with the idea. But I can take credit for driving all over town with my camera for the past two months looking for letters.

bittersweet

This picture was taken on my dad's last day at the fire station.
I love it.

pollytically correct

"mommy, this polly's skin is darker than mine"

"well Audrey everyone has different skin"

"why"

"that's just the way God made us, it's no big deal really, we all have different color eyes and different color hair too"

"and different color cars"

I'm not sure who thought the golf ball room was more cool - Audrey or me.

wonderscope

Monday I had a day off from work and so Audrey and I went on a date to Wonderscope. It is a children's museum inside of an old school. Each classroom is set up as a different theme. Everything is very hands on. Audrey loved it. Her favorite rooms were the town and the hospital. I don't have any pictures of the hospital room because I was too busy being the paitent.

bets off

Apparently the gambling starts early in our family. I can remember playing Tripoley every year at the family Christmas dinner...with quarters of course. And also driving to Riverside Red X to buy lottery tickets before they were legal in KS was a weekly event.

One of Audrey's favorite places to eat is Argosy. They have a nice breakfast buffet.
"Grandpa, will you take me to Argosy today?"

Here are pictures of Trav and Todd teaching her how to play LCR. We like to play in the neighborhood with quarters. So fun!!! I'm pretty sure that dice rolling is one of the skills that they will be testing before kindergarten so we thought we'd get a head start.

She has also learned the all time WT phrase: "If Grandpa wins the lottery" (I can have that swing set, live at Disney World, etc).

We're all rooting for Grandpa too honey.

crazy lady

Who was that crazy lady that had to ram the humongous shopping cart inside of the bathroom because neither of her kids had shoes on at Wal-mart?
Oh, that was me...

say cheese

I inherited the obsessive photography gene from my mother, I can only hope that one of my girls inherits it from me. So far, it's looking good for Audrey...say cheese!

dora doRA DORA

Yes you are seeing everything right. Lucy in Dora jammies, (Audrey's) Dora panties, on her "bed" with Dora sheets and a Dora pillow.

Saturday Dora and Boots came to Nebraska Furniture Mart.

Lucy loves Dora!

It's funny to me because this is just about exactly the age that Audrey loved Dora too. I always thought Dora was supposed to be aimed towards preschoolers, but Audrey is a preschooler now and well, she's pretty much over Dora.

Travis got home from the bank and we got there around 1:30. We waited in line for about an hour and a half. It really wasn't that bad, since we were both there we were able to hold our place in line while we walked around the store, took potty breaks, etc. I was prepared for the line so I made sure to take ample snacks and drinks too. I kept telling Audrey that we were practicing for the lines at Disney World. All in all, both girls did a fantastic job waiting their turns...for this:

I would expect this with someone like Santa but for some reason I just thought Dora would be different.
Lucy, still a little traumatized, looking back to make sure Dora isn't following her.
